Initiatior of Jodipan Tourism Village, Nabila Firdausiyah Becomes the Best Graduate

Who does not know Jodipan Tourism Village (KWJ)? Slum village on the banks of Brantas River Brantas, Jodipan Village changed to be a favorite new tourism in Malang city which was known to the world. She is Nabila Firdausiyah, one of the actors behind the viral of a colorful village. Nabila is the chairman of student group of Communication Sciences at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Guys Pro, who became the initiator of KWJ.

The one who born in Probolinggo, June 2, 1995 is not only inspirational because it is able to initiate changes in Jodipan. She was very successful academically. It is proven at the 85 graduation ceremony of UMM tomorrow, Saturday (26/8), Nabila was confirmed as the best graduate of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UMM with a very proud grade point GPA (3.93).

"Alhamdulillah, since college, I really want to not only have experience in campus, but also outside campus. I am grateful. I can join the Eskalator UMM (community of public relations enthusiasts / PR)," she explained when interviewed Friday (25/8).

No wonder. Creative empowerment project in Kampung Jodipan also received special attention from Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Imam Nahrawi. The success was attracted the interest of the private television station Metro TV to invite UMM Guys Pro team represented by Nabila to share the inspiration on "Kick Andy" talk show. 

In addition to these success, since gaining knowledge in White Campus, Nabila has won many competitions in the field of public relations dealing with his interests. Some achievements have been achieved. They were big finalists of PR competition at Atmajaya Jogjakarta University and the third winner of Marketing Communication at Widaya Mandala Catholic University of Surabaya 2016, finalist of PR competition of Airlangga University Surabaya 2015, third winner on Marketing Communication at University Multimedia of Tangerang, finalist of Marketing Communication on PR Communication Awards competition at University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, and the third winner of Marketing Communication at Catholic University Widya Mandala Surabaya 2014.

"Success is a balance point between world affairs and the hereafter. So not only be a useful human being in the world, but also become part of the duty as a servant of God," she said. After graduation, Nabila plans to run other creative projects in Malang. (ard)
