EAST Java contingent became First general Champion on National Championship (Kejurnas) Class VI Youth Tapak Suci Putera Muhammadiyah on Thursday (8/12). Eat Java won 2 categories, which were Slam and Art. The participants of East Java contingent were very excited when it was announced in Dome Hall of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM).
As the first winner, Regional chairman (Pinwil) of Tapak Suci Putera Muhammadiyah for East Java got 2625 points and won 14 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. The second winner was Central Java contingent by getting 1375 points and won 7 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronzes. The third winner was Yogyakarta contingent by getting 1300 points and won 5 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 10 bronze medals.
Chairman of Central Executive (PP) Tapak Suci Putera Muhammadiyah,M. Afnan Zamhari stated that, this championship event could be used as a measure of success of the warriors to take care of their students.” I hope that this event can be an evaluation to make the cadres more better in the future”.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UMM, Fauzan said that, this competition had two mission. First was organizational mission. According to him, this event was one of the missions of Muhammadiyah.” You all are responsible to be able to defend yourself and Muhammadiyah because you are the ambassadors of Muhammadiyah and become a part of it”.
The second was Islamis mission. Fauzan said, “You have to be a helpful person. Today you compete, but the real meaning of it is, it actually educates you that you have to compete in your life to make you become a winner”.
Fauzan also asked for the winners to avoid self pride and arrogance. " There will always be a winner and loser in every competition, but actually, everyone is the winner”. (Can / han)
