Good news came from University of Muhammadiyah Malang Malang (UMM). Jihan Prashanti, a student from the Faculty of Economy and Business (FEB) UMM, successfully took 3rd place in the 61 kg individual Kumite category of the International Karate Championships. This competition was organized by FORKI, located at GOR Among Raga, Yogayakarta, a while ago.
Jihan, her nickname, states that she has already prepared for this competition for several months to get the maximum result. Not only physically but also mentally by sparring with her friends. She also changes her exercise from three to five times a week.

"Usually I do some practice at the evening after classes. At first, I was quite overwhelmed because my final semester assignments were quite hectic. Moreover, my main priority is my education. Alhamdulillah, despite all the effort, I can balancing both of it very well." Said the girl from Bali.
On the other hand, Jihan also needs to lose five kilograms of her weight to get into the appropriate category for the competition. She implemented a fruitarian diet by eating only fruit and exercising regularly.
"As a result, I only ate bananas and exercised more. Alhamdulillah, I was able to return to my ideal weight and passed the weigh-in," she said.
Her interest in karate started from her admiration of the athletes from Bali, Cokroda Istri Agung Sanistyarani. Jihan admitted that Cokroda's figure even became her reference point for taking steps to become an athlete. Therefore, she tried and practiced hard to win various championships. She says the third place she achieved is an honor, but that does not mean she is satisfied. There are many competitions that he must overcome.

Finally, she advised other youths not to stop at dreams. But we must take steps to achieve them. Although there are many obstacles and barriers, it will all pay off when you achieve it.
