Neuro-linguistic programming plays an essential role in education. Its method is usually used in a big company or institution, which is frequently effective in increasing productivity. Alamsyah, S. Pd., M. Pd., M. M., delivered the idea, who was an alumnus of the Indonesian Language Education department of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. He successfully earned the "Education Inspirator" award from the International Human Resources Transformation Neuro-Linguistic Programming (HRNLP) institution in December 2022.
Alam currently serves as the principal of Madrasah Aliah Al-Irtiqo' of Malang City. He told his story that after graduating from UMM, he directly took a course at the National Federation of Neuro-linguistic Programming institution in the United States of America. Alam gradually started the course from the basics until he could be a coach. When serving as a coach, he focused on learning how to be an education motivator by applying neurolinguistics methods. Neurolistics is an approach which changes motivation through mindset by the five senses and the subconscious optimisation. Therefore, positive motivation, which emerges in students' and teachers' selves, is expected to positively impact their achievements and performances.
"Currently, I am focusing myself on studying the application of neuro-linguistics in the world of education, especially to increase students and teachers' learning and working motivation," he uttered.

The man from Kalukalukuang Island, Pajangkene Regency, South Sulawesi, explained that the neuro-linguistics programming he implements is related to human resources. As a result, it balances education and management studies. With this view, a counsellor can quickly identify teachers' and students' limitations of motivation.
This graduate, who jointly pursued master's degrees in Indonesian language education and management, retold his story that he has aspired to be a teacher since childhood. This factor makes Alam immerse in the field of education. Primarily, his lived environment has few teachers and limitations to education access. Eventually, the situation drove Alam to be a teacher for the nation.
Then, UMM is the right choice for him. He feels grateful for studying at the White Campus because its facilities support his dreams. On the other hand, its Faculty of Teacher Training and Education also has good quality and constantly drives its students to be professional but noble educators.
"I hope neuro-linguistic programming methods can be implemented in the Indonesian education system, especially in improving learning motivation in the subconscious. Also, I still have a strong aim to continue my education so the knowledge I have can increase and I can share it with other educators," Alam ended his statement. (imh/haq/wil)
