The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) continues to spread happiness to the community. This time, Mobil Bioskop Keliling (Bioling) (trans: mobile movie theater cars) and the Social Welfare Students Team came to the Balai Pelayanan Sosial Penyandang Masalah Kesejahteraan Sosial (PMKS) Sidoarjo (trans: Sidoarjo Social Service Center for Persons with Social Welfare Problems) and brought entertainment to the occupants on September 4. In addition, there is also a Mobil Bakti Terhadap Bangsa (Terbang), which provides a variety of books that can be read.
The event was organized by watching movies, reading books, and playing fun games. Homeless occupants, people with disabilities, vagrants, and beggars are entertained and educated with many things. Regarding this activity, the Head of the Sidoarjo PMKS Social Service Center, Fiftian Windarta, S.H., M.M., appreciated the UMM team for being there. According to him, the attention provided gives happiness to the occupants of the social service center.

"The program is very interesting, there is a watching and reading book together. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to UMM for providing the mobile cinema car and reading car. Even though it looks simple, the impact and benefits are great. They really need activities like this to stimulate their knowledge," he said.
Furthermore, he explained that the occupants at the Sidoarjo PMKS Social Service Center consist of homeless people, people with disabilities, vagrants, beggars, and so on. They all get assistance according to the assessment classification that has been determined. The assistance ranges from improving entrepreneurial skills in banjari activities to fish farming in the future.
Previously, a team of students from the Social Welfare study program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UMM conducted activities for one month at this place. The practicum provides various activities, ranging from social work practice, practicing therapy for PMKS, and art therapy to coaching the clients by making eco brick and eco print.

Meanwhile, Ernawati, one of the residents at the Sidoarjo PMKS Social Service Center, admitted that she was delighted with the presence of the UMM team. According to him, this is a fun experience. Moreover, this was the first time she watched a movie on a big screen and could read exciting books.
"The movie is good and inspiring. The books are also various and can increase our knowledge. There are books that discuss business, motivational stories, and even other fun novels," Erna said. (Put/Faq/Wil)
