Again, KaCa and Bioling Cars Contribute to Malang Earthquake Affected Residents

Thursday Reading Car (KaCa) and Mobile Cinema (Bioling) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again paved. After visiting the Dampit area and the Correctional Institution (Lapas), this time, they attended Sonowangi Village, Ampelgading District, Malang, on Friday (23/4). Apart from donating food and entertaining with games, they also provided stories to alleviate the trauma experienced by children affected by the earthquake. It has even prepared a mobile cinema for residents.

The two cars left for the location at noon and finally arrived just as the Azan Ashar to prayer rang out. KaCa's car headed for the space provided, while BIoling went straight to the field to prepare the broadcast to be displayed. The children were also very enthusiastic when the KaCa Car came. Some are engrossed in reading books, while others are busy with the games and fairy tales that are told.

Moreover, the Mobil KaCa team took the initiative to convey the stories of Moni and Pino to the children who were present. They were invited to keep in mind the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day. Moni, who was hard to clean her teeth, eventually brushed her teeth diligently because she was so sick. “Until finally, Moni was in pain and cried. Fortunately, she realized that brushing his teeth was an obligation that had to be accustomed to so that no germs were sticking to it, "said the UMM student.

Asked about the ongoing program, UMM Rector Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. This schedule is one a long series of UMM Ramadan Berbagi and UMM Berbagi for the Country programs. He said that this schedule had been going on for a long time, not only in the month of Ramadan. "We want to be present in the communities affected by the earthquake. Not only on the physical aspect but also psychologically, "he explained.

Fauzan also revealed that UMM has the determination to continue to provide benefits in all conditions. According to him, the health and psychological aspects are often forgotten by the community. Therefore, UMM presented KaCa and Bioling Cars to bring back the joy of the children who sad to experience the earthquake some time ago. "Hopefully, what we have worked on will be able to have a positive impact on earthquake victims in South Malang," he hoped.

When met on another occasion, Yadiono, the Head of Sonowangi Village, said that the damage was quite a lot. In one hamlet, about 36 houses were severely harm, one of which even collapsed. He also admitted that many residents and children were still traumatized by the disaster that had happened to him. “Children panic easily. Not infrequently, they are afraid when they feel the vibrations of a passing car, ”he explained.

The man from Malang was grateful UMM was present during the panic that hit the children. Many positive impacts were presented. The trauma that was received can be relieved little by the presence of trauma healing activities. "Hopefully, the children will be happy again and return to their normal activities. I also hope that the trauma-healing activities that have been provided don't just stop there, ”he hoped.

Rini Restianingsih, one of the parents, expressed her joy. Moreover, seeing his child can laugh with other friends. “After the earthquake, my son easily panicked and cried. He did not want to sleep in the house room, instead choosing to sleep in the kitchen, ”she said.

Rini, her nickname, was also grateful that the UMM KaCa Car could be present in the affected community.
