The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held the 27th Professional Pledge and Inauguration of Nurses at the Rayz Hotel UMM Ballroom. Interestingly, all the nurses graduated 100%. The event was more solemn with the attendance of parents and guardians of the students, both offline and online from various regions throughout Indonesia. By reading basmalah, the 27th Professional Pledge and Ners Inauguration session forum was opened by the DPW PPNI of East Java Province on August 21st.
After that, the forum continues by reading the educational report and the nurse graduation decree read by Sunardi, M. Kep, as Head of the Nursing Professional Education Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) UMM. It is declared that 69 students of the Nursing Education Study Program FHS UMM have passed the National Competency Test (UKOMNAS) 100%. The best NERS graduate student is Dinda Putri Safitri with a GPA of 3.96, followed by the second-best Indah, Beliana Fauziah, and the third-best Nabilah Widya with the same total GPA.

“Congratulations to the 27th batch of FIKES UMM Ners study program students. You are doing great. Alhamdulillah, in 2 consecutive years you graduated 100%. This cannot be separated from structured academic coaching, qualified hospital preparation, and mental preparation that is continuously carried out by all FHS UMM academicians, “he said.
The inauguration and pledge-taking of the nursing profession was led by the Dean of FHS UMM, Dr. Yoyok Bekti Prasetyo, M. Kep., Sp. Kom. Furthermore, he advised that the pledge that was taken implies responsibility to the nation and state of the Republic of Indonesia. Likewise, by maintaining Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and for the welfare of the people.
Yoyok also highly appreciates the parents of students from various regions throughout Indonesia who have taken the time to attend this important moment. He said that the UMM Ners Professional Education Study Program succeeded in graduating 100% of students at Ukomnas, which also extended UMM's record. He also felt very proud of the achievements of the long process passed by the students.
“I hope and I believe that this journey should not stop here. Surely, you will continue to fight. One of the interesting things, as well as an alternative choice at UMM to strengthen what we have achieved, is to become a diaspora nurse. Until now, there have been dozens of UMM Ners alumni who work abroad, and we have identified them, and we continue to build communication. Some are in Japan, the Middle East (Kuwait and its surroundings), the Netherlands, and Germany. In addition, Fikes UMM already has cooperation with a hospital consortium in Germany,” he said.

Furthermore, UMM Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nazaruddin Malik, SE, M.Si., in his speech, said that this moment was a process that was not born out of thin air. The oath is a form of gesture that is gradual until it becomes a determination. This determination will always be reflected in his attitude and behavior, both in carrying out his profession and human life.
“Khoirunnas Anfa'uhum Linnas has a deep meaning, and wherever possible, we are the first to help and provide help in any form. That is the important face of what we call the reputation of UMM graduates,” he said. (Din/Faq/Put)
