UMM Accounting Students Are Trained on Import Export Skills

AMOUNT role of exports and imports for Indonesian economy inspired Accounting study program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a short course of export and import for students on Thursday (16/3) at UMM Auditorium. This activity would be followed by a field study on Monday (20/3).

UMM FEB Dean, Dr Idah Zuhroh MM stated that, the effect of exports and imports in economy need to care more by students. Then in 2016, a business and financial magazine from United States, Forbes Magazine released the data, Indonesian businessmen are able to control assets of international economy up to 10 trillion rupiah.

According to Idah, the nominal size of the economy of Indonesia increased significantly. "Indeed the very early age, students need to be cultivated to become entrepreneurs, so the mindset has been restyled," said Idah in his speech at the event organized by Accounting Laboratory.

More and more entrepreneurs, so Indonesia economic acceleration would also be higher. Currently, more Idah, there were already a lot of young entrepreneurs coming from the students. However, not many are able to penetrate the international market. If the international enterpreneurs have been owned by many bussinessmen, Indonesian economy capable to compete with developed countries. "Economic conditions which are stable is no longer a dream," said Idah.

Currently, East Java (East Java) is experiencing a surplus economy. If it is seen in the trade balance, then the Java more superior to other provinces in the trade between islands. However, it is still not balanced with Indonesia condition. Idah said that, until now the number of perpetrators of exporters in Indonesia only 1000 people. "It still takes a lot of people who do business on an international scale," she said.

On the same occasion, there was also Head of Department of Marketing and Services of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (IPC), Wara Dijatmika. He stated that, the port became one of places for entring and exit of goods from and to Indonesia. The port itself has several services such as pilot services, services tug boats, mooring services, services in water and unloading services. "All are interrelated with each other because it would aid in inserting and removing the goods to Indonesia," he explained. (Jal / han)
