UMM Vocational Students Participate in Revaluation of State-Owned Bank Assets

The Directorate of Vocational Education Program, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), sent students to carry out project-based learning from PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk. Recorded that eight UMM Property Business Diploma IV students participated in the project and worked on an appraisal project consisting of 300 points located in Central Java Province and Yogyakarta Special Region.

Dr. Tulus Winarsunu, M. Si, the Head of the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training UMM, reported that this program would last approximately three months. They were starting from July 2022 to September 2022. Eight temporary UMM vocational students will be dispatched to Yogyakarta to carry out project coordination.

Tulus, his nickname, was happy with the trust of Vocational UMM to carry out projects outside East Java. Moreover, the activity was in line with the big concept of UMM's vocational education: link and match between vocational education and the industrial world. Through this program, he assesses that it can produce quality and highly competitive human resources.

"Many parties have trusted the UMM Vocational School. One of them is working on a city hall project related to determining land rent's value. He has also worked on routine projects from the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) for appraisals for collateral and other projects. Students have also been deployed to determine the contribution to the value of the UMM Garden Vessel rental, to determine the auction value of BPN bank collateral, and now to revaluate BRI bank assets in DIY and Central Java," he explained.

According to him, this project benefits both parties, UMM students and related companies. Students can get new experiences about how things and situations work in the real world. Even with a myriad of knowledge from professionals, He added that if the project is successful, the eight students will receive certification and become members of the Indonesian Society of Appraisers (MAPPI).

On the same occasion, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., the Chancellor of UMM, left a message to the eight students who went to stay humble and not be complacent. He encourages them to continue to thirst for knowledge and knowledge so they can get comprehensive results.

"If you have gained a lot of experience, don't forget to network. It is important to show that UMM Vocational School is in line with big campuses in Indonesia.
