Kupat culture has its philosophical value at the moment of Eid. This was explained by Drs. Nur Cholis Huda, M.Sc. In the halal bihalal of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on April 29. The Chairman of the UMM Daily Development Board (BPH) was also present, as well as the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP.

Furthermore, Huda continued that kupat is made from janur leaves with a philosophical value. Janur means 'sejatine ning nur', which means light that is genuinely from the divine. Kupat also has its abbreviation "laku papat", or four L.

The first L means Lebar (Trans: broad). This means that the time for fasting is over. Hence, Huda encourages Muslim women to settle existing fasting debts immediately. That way, it can be interpreted as broad. Second, namely, Lebur (Trans: melting), which means the melting of mistakes and forgiving each other.

"Then the third is Luber (Trans: overflow), which means that our kindness must be more generous. That way we can get the truth of nur, namely light from the divine. The last one is Labur, which means our faces must be bright. You can't complain or splice," he explained.
Meanwhile, Muhadjir reminds Muhammadiyah's tradition of moving forward together and helping those who have yet to advance to be more advanced.

He also advised UMM to be more sensitive to changes. "Usually, big and well-established institutions are not so sensitive to change. So, I ask the leadership and staff not to feel that they have advanced and feel that they are at the forefront. Thy must continue to develop themselves, especially in the academic field, "he said.

Muhadjir also motivates the lecturers to immediately achieve the title of professor, not easily satisfied with what is obtained, and continue to innovate to advance the country. "Don't be tired of bringing UMM to the very end, both at national and international levels," he concluded.

On the other hand, UMM Chancellor Dr. Fauzan M.Pd. said that the spirit of Ramadan on the White Campus is extraordinary and must continue to be ignited. One of the engaging UMM Ramadan activities was on the road sahur to various regions with international students. The activity attracted a lot of attention and was rated well.

"We as the leaders also apologize profusely. Hopefully at this moment of Eid we can forgive each other and get blessings," he concluded. (Put/Wil)
