MuRid motorcycle club coordinator, Zakarija Ahmad, said that social service is a routine agenda carried out by his group. This year, MuRid was given the mandate by Baitul Maal Khatulistiwa to distribute 100 Eid gifts to the residents. Even by distributing holiday allowances to Quran teachers in the regencies, especially to those who were affected by the hot cloud of Mount Semeru.
"We also provide assistance to students of the Pronojiwo branch of Tapak Suci who come from underprivileged families. Hopefully what we provide can give more benefits," he explained.
The same thing was also conveyed by one of the MuRid motorists. He and his friends hope that the provided assistance can bring a little happiness in the Eid atmosphere. Even though they are in a bad situation, the villagers can smile and enjoy the holiday happily.
"Especially during the holidays, the needs of residents usually increase. So this Eid gift can help lighten things up a bit," he concluded. (put/wil)
