The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Arabic Language Education (ALED) student festival is more attractive. Being the sixth year it has been held, the Al-Arabiya Festival Expo (Alepo) was held on March 6-9, 2023. Hundreds of students and students from various regions in Indonesia attended it.

The Chief Executive of the Event, Muhammad Zarfan Yamin, considered that this festival held not only competitions but also presented several speakers. Hence, it is hoped that Alepo will be able to become a forum for collaboration to explore Arabalsosoo by increasing enthusiasm and interest in the development of related languages.

"The name Alepo was inspired by a city with the same name in Syria. This city has a high history and brilliance that can be used as inspiration. Moreover, in the past, this city also achieved fame and prosperity in the fields of art, science and Arabic history. So it is hoped that this festival will also produce the same thing, "he said.

A series of events held at Alepo include talk shows, student-level competitions, to competitions between students in various competitions. The participants competed in several interesting branches such as Arabic debate competitions, Arabic language Olympiads, poetry, speeches, and singing to commentators who all took place in Arabic. More than 270 participants fought for the championship.

This year's Adalun festival takes a more trendy visual by applying a classic retro theme that goes up and down. It is hoped that this visual can further enliven related competitions and festivals. Interestingly, there is also a bazaar that provides various foods made by student children. So they can learn entrepreneurship and develop their sales.

Even though they use the terms festival and competition, the committee also allocates time for entertainment, such as presenting stand-up comedians Fajar Mukti and Wawan Saktiawan in a comedy show at the end of the activity.
