To strengthen the cooperation between University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and Australia, Australian Embassy for Indonesia will establish Australian Study Center in UMM. This plan was delivered by the staff of Australian Embassy for Indonesia, Grace Maria when visited UMM (7/6)
It is expected that the establishment of #AussieBanget Corner will be done on July this year. All academic communities of UMM can find any information about Australia such as books, information study, and scholarships. #AussieBanget was also established in other universities in Bali, Makassar, Medan, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta
Grace said that, “This “#AussieBanget Corner will give a chance to students to learn about Australia and become the keyt point for Australian graduates”
Assistant Rector for Cooperation, Drs. Suparto, M.Pd stated that UMM is also trying to form an alumni forum of Australia. UMM currently has 32 lecturers of Australian graduates. This plan was intended for development and empowerment of the Australian graduates.
Furthermore, Suparto explained that, “So far, there is no organization of Australian graduates in Indonesia, but there is an organization for American graduates. Besides, the Embassy also supports for activities such as research, society service, organizational empowerment and networking, "
The existence of this #AussieBanget Corner also complemented American Corner, Saudi Arabian Corner, Thailand Corner and China Corner which previously had established at UMM.(lus)
