The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FKIP UMM), inaugurated 2,143 teaching profession participants on Sunday (13/3). One hundred eighty-four of them were sworn in offline. Like the previous year, the PPG FKIP UMM Study Program could get into the top ten LPTKs with the highest number of students. After graduating and taking the oath, these professional teachers are considered ready to devote themselves to bringing the nation's generation to the superior generation in 2045.
Before holding the professional oath procession, UMM Chancellor Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. Congratulated PPG students for their success in pursuing professional education. He hopes that the provisions that have been obtained at the White Campus can be used to make suitable changes in the world of education.
Fauzan added; currently, Indonesia is entering the era of demographic bonus because the number of productive age children is much larger than those who are not. The world of education must seize this as an opportunity to create superior Indonesian human resources. Of course, this can only be realized through meaningful learning from professional teachers who are creative, innovative, and visionary.
"The existence of professional teachers has an urgent position in realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045. Therefore, the government has this Teacher Professional Education policy to produce professional teachers who are responsible so that children can live in their time," said Fauzan.
On the other hand, the Director-General of GTK, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, Dr. Iwan Syahril, Ph.D., appreciate the substantial efforts of the White Campus. Mainly in facilitating and ensuring that prospective Indonesian educators receive good scientific input. "Hopefully, UMM can always present future educators with enthusiasm and fighting power in carrying out their profession. Let's work hand in hand to advance Indonesian education," he said.
PPG students have to go through a long struggle to be declared professional educators. The Dean of FKIP UMM, Dr. Trisakti Handayani, M.M, said that before being displayed graduated, PPG daljab and prajab participants had taken education first. Start from a span of three months to one year.
"Here, students follow five stages of learning, namely deepening of professional and pedagogical materials, analysis of teaching materials, preparation of learning tools, and practical field experiences in their respective schools. Then they can take various exams," said Trisakti.
In the end, Trisakti hopes that graduates can implement the knowledge they have acquired by implementing 21st-century learning. They can use HOTs Higher Order Thinking Skills, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge, and Inquiry-Based Activities lessons. That way, teachers can integrate literacy skills, knowledge skills, skills, attitudes, and mastery of technology. (cdr/*/wil)
