The University of Muhammadiyah Malang never stops making achievements. This time, its department, Islamic Family Law from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, successfully earned the first place in the Science and Technology Index publication (SINTA) among the 247 same majors in Indonesia by the beginning of this year. Based on the data, the Sinta Score Overall and Score Yr of the Islamic Family Law Department of UMM are 4.211 and 2.840, respectively.

The Head of the Study Program, Muhammad Arif Zuhri, Lc. M. HI. said that this achievement indicates that the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, as a private university has extraordinary excellence and can compete in terms of research and scientific publication.

"Alhamdulillah, we feel grateful for this achievement. It is the endeavor of the Islamic Family Law Department to fulfill the Four Pillars of Universities: teaching and learning process, research, community services, and the Islamic and Muhammadiyah studies and values development," said Arif.

Arif has emphasized that a particular program was not done to make this achievement. Everything goes naturally, as it should. They have principles to execute what can be resulted immediately, so it will not only stop in their mind but eventually burdens them. Lecturers in the department always exchange their ideas, motivate, and give feedback to each other. Therefore, there will be development and improvement in applying the Four Pillars of Universities (Translated: Catur Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

"On the other hand, this achievement was made because of our discipline in being involved in scientific activities. Primarily, we have three head lecturers, four lecturers, and 16 expert assistants who play an essential role in the score calculation consideration of the Islamic Family Law Department of UMM," asserted the Head of the Study Program.

Arif stated that this achievement can enable the department to be the leading major in legal studies development by 2030, notably Islamic law. Naturally, the study's development is also based on Islamic values, which raise the concept of renewal and Indonesian nuance.

"We also thank UMM, who has already supported us in many things to improve the quality of the department and lecturers," expected Arif.

Lastly, Arif stated that the SINTA score was successfully obtained because his staff has published Q1 Scopus-indexed six articles, Q2 Scopus-indexed four articles, Q3 Scopus-indexed 1 article, Q4 Scopus-indexed 1 article, and one publication categorized as a Scopus Non-Article. On the other hand, there are 25 Scopus Citations, 7 cited Scopus Documents, four articles in the form of Web of Science Document (core), and two articles of cited Web of Science Documents.
