Prof. Dr. Ishomuddin, M.Si., Achieving Lecturer Who is Productive in Writing and Researching

THE DESCRIPTION of Prof. Dr. Ishomuddin MSi deepen the sociology of Islamic society made him crowned as an outstanding lecturer in University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). "Researching, teaching and serving the community have become a routine for me. The goal is to benefit others," he said.

Ishomuddin is very perseverance in writing and spreading knowledge. He proved it by publishing his writings in various national and international journals. Writing and researching become inseparable job from his personal life. His dedication to the social world was busy by the number of works that could be read by everyone. Ishommuddin had published 21 books and still on the rise, mostly discussing the sociology of Islamic societies.

His deep and focused thinking made him confirmed as a professor in the field of sociology of Islamic societies. Ishomuddin successfully completed the study of strata II (S2) at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and his doctoral program at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Focusing on Islamic studies and culture, He was interested to conduct research and writing in the field of sociology of Islamic societies, Islamic politics as well as Islamic education.

Right now, the results of his research cannot only be enjoyed by Indonesian people, but also can be felt by the international community. At least 12 international articles have been written by Ishomuddin to spread his knowledge. By 2016, Ishomuddin has published six international journals and will be increased soon. In fact, he said three months from now will also be published his article in international journals.

His sensitivity in the field of sociology of Islamic societies was responded by many parties. Ishomuddin is often invited to several international seminars as speakers. One of them, On March 26, 2016, Ishomuddin spoke about ASEAN Muslims Faced Globalization and The Global Issues. The material was presented at the international seminar forum "Global Issues of South-Asia Community", at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

"Science is not good if it is owned alone, even to be spread. Through research, writing, publications of national and international journals, I am trying to spread knowledge to the wider community," he said. Ishomuddin believes that research and publication of his research results are a concrete manifestation of a scientist responsibility. (Jal / han)
