Although it sounds cliché, failure often leads humans to success. This was emphasized by Raka Bagus Vinaya, a young businessman, CEO and Founder of PT Ladang Sehat Indonesia, in front of 2,471 graduates of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), on September 21. On that occasion, he also shared his motivational story of establishing a business from scratch. PT Ladang Sehat is engaged in the field of healthy food.
Raka, as he is often called, said that he was forced to pursue a major in college that did not match his interests. He wanted to study and explore interior design. Finally, he recklessly enrolled in one of the universities in Germany to pursue his dream major, graphic design.
"Long story short, I had to fail many times. But I didn't give up and succeeded in my last chance. Alhamdulillah, I was accepted to study in Germany," he said.

After graduating, he and four of his friend tried their fortune in the design service business in 2009. He got various big projects, for example from one of the major banks in Indonesia. He met many clients and became discussion partners. He, then, got an idea based on Indonesia's great potential in the food sector. This made him turn around and try to establish a business in the food sector in 2013 under the name Ladang Sehat. At that time, he admitted that he did not have much experience and knowledge.
"Honestly, it's not easy to set up a business that I don't even understand the intricacies of. I've been cheated and even experienced minus profits. But thanks to those failures, I was able to find the right path," Raka added.
Furthermore, he said that Ladang Sehat initially suffered losses of up to 50%, but this did not deter him from continuing to learn to build the company. All of this develops from the passion to provide benefits to this nation and country, Indonesia.

At the graduation ceremony, foreign students also appeared to play angklung together. They come from various parts of the world, from Asia, Africa, America, and so on. There was also a saxophone performance by a graduate who was active in the music world, who performed a song together with the UMM Rector, Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd.
On the other hand, the Chairman of BPH UMM as well as the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP, also gave a series of motivations to graduates. According to him, young people will determine the golden Indonesia in 2045. Therefore, UMM provides various platforms for developing the skills and potential of each student. For example, the Center of Excellence and a series of business units are expected to provide many benefits to the wider community. Students and alumni are included.
It is not enough for young people to be successful for themselves. True successes are those who are able to share their benefits with other humans. "I am sure that the graduates here will become successful people for religion, country and nation in the future," he concluded. (Tri/Wil/Fajr)
