UMM Rector Recites National Poetry at Geragah Taruna Nusantara Event

UMM (Muhammadiyah University of Malang) and the Forum for Interfaith Harmony (FKUB) Malang presented a series of performances at the Geragah Taruna Nusantara event on October 31. The event was adorned with collaborative performances showcasing unity among people of different backgrounds and religions. One of the highlights was the recitation of a poem by UMM Rector Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd.

Fauzan performed a poem titled "Majulah Indonesiaku" ( Advance, My Indonesia). The poem further united the guests and participants, despite their diverse backgrounds. He emphasized that Indonesia is a beloved homeland, an endeavor and struggle to make Indonesia a self-reliant, valuable, and respected nation.

"For you, my beloved country, Indonesia, a place where we stand, hanging our dreams and aspirations for its people. How dearly the price paid to be born with a struggle. Now, it doesn't feel like you've been independent for 78 years. Many hope that you will become a dignified nation. The youth also pledge to uphold this country high," a snippet of the poem recited by Fauzan.
