| Salma Salsabil's Excitement Entertained Thousands of UMM New Students at the UMM Dome Hall (Photo: Lintang Humas) |
A festive time roar was heard inside the Dome of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). More than 6,000 UMM students sang joyfully with the winner of Indonesian Idol, Salma Salsabil. The event was the Closing of the UMM New Student Studies Introduction. Salma performed a lineup of songs at the event, which was held on September 15.
Based on UMM's Head of Public Relations, M. Isnaini, M.Pd., Salma was absolutely qualified to be a guest star at the Pesmaba's Closing. Salma represents young individuals who are self-sufficient and capable of working. She is also the winner of one of the famous singing competitions.
Some of the songs performed also inspired the new students' enthusiasm (freshmen). For example, many people are familiar with Just The Way You Are from Bruno Mars up to Rungkad. Salma also sang her single song, Mengharagai Kata Rindu.

"Hopefully, Pesmaba can be a memorable agenda for new students. In addition, it is also able to increase enthusiasm while strengthening the brotherhood and togetherness that has been established," said the lecturer, who is usually called Krisna.
The new students especially seemed happy that Pesmaba was closed with an engaging performance from Salma. One of them is Azubah Rizky Amaliah, a new student majoring in UMM Management. Based on his opinion, the Pesmaba this year was really exciting since a rising vocalist was invited. He admitted that he was always curious about who would appear as a guest star at every Pesmaba, including the previous Pesmaba.
"I always curious who would come to Pesmaba this year. I didn't expect when UMM presented Salma at the end of the closing and I'm finally watch my favorite singer live," she said.
Amel, her nickname, said that she had prepared herself for college. Additionally, she has set targets for herself that she must achieve. One of them is to become a student who can achieve a student exchange program overseas.

She admitted that one of the main reasons she has UMM is the numerous international relationships that have been developed. That increases her chances of travelling to foreign countries as an exchange student.
"Bismillah, be a good student and be able to excel. I also advise my fellow freshmen to maintain the existing togethereness that has been builded. Don't let it fade, and be able to help each other in goodness," she concluded. (Wil/Fajr)
