In order to improve the reading enthusiasm among children, the RBC Institute of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) collaborated with PPI Abdul Malik Fadjar to organize a mobile library titled “Safari Literasi”. The activity targeted two schools, Muhammadiyah 11 Elementary School and Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School in Surabaya, with a variety of interesting activities on October 10. The agenda aims to develop children's interest in books.
The activity began with a reading session that was attended by all students alternately. Volunteers from RBC Institute read out inspiring and interactive stories and continued with a read-aloud session where students participated in reading together. The enthusiasm of the students was also very much felt, where they showed high enthusiasm.
UMM RBC Team, Manda Dinastri, said that many of the students were excited by the arrival of the mobile library. “They are also sad because this library car only stops briefly at schools,” she said.

Their goal is not only to provide access to books but also to encourage children to have a fun reading experience. “We believe that by bringing to life the noble values of the nation's figure, Abdul Malik Fadjar, we can develop the character and spirit of the youth,” she said.
The RBC team and Abdul Malik Fadjar International Boarding School expected this program could provide benefits for all participants and encourage their enthusiasm for reading. Moreover, reading is a window to the world that will take them to infinite places.

This event is also added with mini games that challenge the students' knowledge and creativity. Starting from playing ball, rope games, and so on. They were also given knowledge about inspirational figures. (*/wil/put)
