Together with the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Regional Leaders (Pimwil) II Tapak Suci East Java held a workshop last Sunday (8/11). Located in the ballroom of Rayz Hotel UMM, the agenda was carried out with strict health protocols. The speakers presented discussed the development of the Pancasila ideology to preserve Pencak Silat, especially Holy Site.
Prof. Dr.Ir. Sasmito Djati, MS, IPU, P.Ua as the general chairman of Holy Site East Java, explained that this event was an attempt to re-actualize the ideology of the Holy Site. According to him, the world is experiencing a period of disruption, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Therefore, efforts are needed to remind the values and ideology of the sacred Holy Site for warriors. So that the purpose of the Holy Site does not deviate, " he said.
Sasmito added Holy Site is an inclusive autonomous organization. Everyone can participate, regardless of background or place. He mentioned the Head of the Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah (PCIM) Germany, who organized Holy Site well. Many citizens were interested and followed him to understand martial arts.
Sasmito again reminded that warriors and cadres have a sacred duty as the sons of Muhammadiyah. One of them is to bring enlightenment wherever one is. "In this era of global disruption, we must not forget the mission that we always carry. Hopefully, we can be consistent and remember and hold fast to the values of the Pancasila ideology," he said.
On the same occasion, the Secretary of the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah East Java, Ir. Tamhid Masyhudi, had the opportunity to open the event. He said that the TS warriors should be proud because many of their cadres were able to win championships, both in PON and SEA Games. This indicates that TS has something extraordinary.
In line with Sasmito, he also appreciated TS, present in various parts of the world. Starting from England, Egypt, Germany, Algeria, and other countries. He underlined that TS Taiwan successfully held the championship. Especially with the accompanying Taiwan government legalization.
"I appreciate what TS Taiwan has done. They are able to take advantage of various opportunities and build good cooperation. Now, TS is also part of helping the Taiwanese government in cultural cooperation," he said.
Tamhid also explained that Muhammadiyah wants to develop da'wah in the digital era. According to him, this step is very strategic because it can determine the future of Muhammadiyah. Likewise, with TS who will also be involved in digital da'wah.
"I think TS can be more expressive and dynamic. Make videos with interesting movements. There is art, speed, and strength that can be displayed and realized as a form of da'wah," said Tamhid.
He also considered that Holy Site could be framed as a form of self-defense that appears as a unifier and maintains the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Not only Holy Site, but also other autonomous organizations that must be ready to help the nation as was carried out in the evacuation and assistance for the victims of the Malang-Batu flood some time ago.
"I remember a message from the general chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Mr. Haedar, which said that Muhammadiyah must be present when the Indonesian people need it," said Tamhid.
In the event, presenters such as the General Chairman of the Tapak Suci Center, Dr. Ir. Chairul Muriman Setyabudi, Vice Rector II of UMM Dr. Nazaruddin Malik, S.SE.
