Cooperation between the Construction Services Development Agency (LPJK) East Java under the Ministry of Public Workers and University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) struggled to facilitate students and alumni of UMM Engineering Faculty students in obtaining professional field on business or project through the State Budget (APBN).
The cooperation was realized through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UMM and LPJK which was represented by UMM Rector and LPJK East Java head on Wednesday, September 20. It was to follow up the previous activities, namely the launching of Profession Certification Agency (LSP) of UMM (16/9), which was attended by all deans and Laboratory head of UMM faculties.
That Launching along with a training of competency scheme that must be prepared in each department. Its result, this activity resulted 24 certification schemes from all UMM departments.
According to LSP UMM head David Hermawan, the certification program facilitated by LSP would also help in fulfilling the certification needs of every profession that required by each UMM department.
Meanwhile, UMM Rector conveyed that the establishment of LSP UMM also encouraged the acceleration of labor certification that proclaimed by central government. Currently, UMM had conducted a competency test in four faculties namely Engineering Faculty, Economics and Business Faculty, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Faculty, Social and Political Sciences Faculty.
