The President Morsi willing to Delay Referendum

Metrotvnews.com, Kairo: Justice Minister of Egyptian Ahmed Miky, Friday (7/12), said President Mohammed Mursi willing to suspend the constitution referendum were planned for Dec. 15. It is done if the opposition accept dialogue without preconditions. The news was released online edition of Al-Ahram.

High electoral commission on the same day decided to postpone voting for Egyptian citizens abroad on the draft constitution, from December 8 so 12 December. This is at the request of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

On Friday night, a group of protesters arrived at the presidential palace in Cairo. Dozens of them broke through barbed-wire barricades mounted guards blocking the road leading to the presidential palace.

On Friday morning, hundreds of opponents of the Mursi gathered outside the presidential palace. They demanded Mursi retreat. Some protesters shouted, "Lower power the Muslim Brotherhood!" and "zoom zoom", as they break through the barbed wire barricades to enter the palace.

Mursi delaying his speech on Thursday night, after bloody clashes between supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace, killing six people and injuring more than 1,000.

He invited the opposition to sit down and dialogue, Saturday (8/12). But the opposition rejected the invitation. On 22 November, the Mursi issued a declaration of the constitution which broke all the rules, decrees and declarations constitution issued by the president is final and can not be challenged by anyone. The move sparked a wave of demonstrations and protests across Egypt. (Ant / DOR)
