The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) continues to improve the quality of their human resources (HR), including their educators and lecturers. Therefore, the Darul Arqam Dosen (DAD) is organized by division five, which is human resource development, Al-Islam, and Kemuhammadiyaan, and collaborates with the UMM Education and Training Center. This agenda was held on June 3–7, with various deepening materials and insights.
On this matter, the Head of UMM HR Training Center, Zen Amirudin, S.Sos, M.Med.Kom, said that DAD is held periodically for all UMM lecturers and staff at least once a year. The agenda is a coaching program in Muhammadiyah that is oriented towards fostering Islamic ideology and leadership.
“The goal is to improve Islamic understanding and create a common and unified attitude, integrity, insight, and mindset among members of the association. Including UMM lecturers who are encouraged to carry out the Muhammadiyah mission well,” he said.

The DAD was divided into three batches and held at the UMM HR Training Center. The first batch started on June 3–7, the second batch on June 10–15, and the last batch on June 24–28. Zen, as he is called, explained that the purpose of Daraul Arqam for lecturers and tenders is to provide participants with an understanding of Muhammadiyah as a progressive Islamic action and understanding. The second is to build understanding and awareness of progressive Islam as the basis of UMM's ideology.
The third is forming individuals who have the understanding and awareness to serve in the association. Finally, it shapes participants as obedient worshipers of Allah in implementing the guidance of worship as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad. The goal is also the target of achievement during the implementation of Darul Arqam.
"Darul Arqam Dosen & Tendik is very important as an ideological foundation or core value of lecturers as cadres of the Muhammadiyah organization, especially at UMM. It also improves their skills and abilities in carrying out the task of educating students,” he explained.
At least five materials are delivered in the DAD process. Including Muhammadiyah ideological material groups, insight and skill development, social and humanitarian material, leadership and organization, and local content.

Zen expects that the Darul Arqam program is not only attended by lecturers, students, or tendik. However, employees and residents of the Muhammadiyah business community at UMM are also welcome. For example, such as hospitals, gas stations, and other units, (dev/wil/put)
