To practice the tri dharma of higher education, the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (FPP) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again assisted and developed agricultural products in Sragi Village, Blitar. The focus of this program is to hold training for the manufacture of corn and ginger hair powder drink products with the brand "Palawidja." The activity took place in the middle of last July.
The team that is part of this program consists of FPP lecturers, namely Vritta Amroini Wahyudi, S.Si, M.Sc. as team leader, assisted by Hanif Alamudin Manshur, S.Gz., M.Si, M. Zul Mazwan, S.P., M.Sc. Collaborating and helping students through the Food Technology Student Association (HIMATEKPA).
Vritta, her nickname, explained that this program aims to invite the community to be able to produce superior agricultural products. One is participating in training on processing corn and ginger hair products and marketing agricultural products. In other words, UMM White Campus seeks to prepare the people of Sragi Village to become a solopreneur group.

In this training, UMM students have a role in assisting in making powdered drinks. The powder method chosen is foam mat drying. They chose this technique because it has advantages in accelerating the process of evaporation of water. That is done at a lower temperature to maintain the ingredients' nutritional value.
Not only carrying out training on making corn and ginger hair powder drinks, but this event also provided material on increasing the capacity of BPD aimed at village officials. They presented a series of speakers from the government science study program, one of which was Drs. Krishno Hadi, M.A.
Krishno, as he is known, said that one of the characteristics of an independent village is that it can develop its potential. "One of the potentials possessed by Sragi Village is the development of a powder drink business made from corn silk and ginger. If this product development is successful, it will be an example for other villages to develop their potential as well," he said.

He appreciated the steps the UMM White Campus to participate in helping the community directly. According to him, one of the characteristics of a state-of-the-art campus is that it has a substantial role to play in the community. The village officials are also enthusiastic and willing to learn new things, so Krishno is sure that the development of the village will be even better.
Meanwhile, Sutikno, as the Head of BPD Desa Sragi, thanked UMM for always helping his party. In addition, it presents interesting material from reliable presenters which the people of Sragi village easily understand. "In the future, we as government partners still want to encourage the Sragi Village government to always cooperate with the University of Muhammadiyah Malang sustainably. So that what is the ideals of Sragi Village can be realized," he concluded. (apg/ros/wil)
