Multimedia Language Lab

Multimedia Language Lab is an audio-visual language laboratory which is completed by computer and has multifunction in teaching language. This language laboratory is intended to give intensive developing facility on language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). Moreover, the language learning activity in this laboratory is intended to give opportunity for students to learn language individually or grouply according to their level or their speed of learning language. 

Language training program at multimedia language laboratory is operated by CD-ROM, video, and audio casette.

Besides for the interest of language learning in UMM, this laboratory is also used to:

  1. Workshop on Language Lab for English teachers of SMU entire East Java or the surrounding, 
  2. Arrangement of Main Teacher of English for MAN/SMU,
  3. Intensive English Program or TOEFL for language learning outside of UMM Campus, and
  4. Cooperating with Testing Service Institution both national and international for the interest of certificates of TOEFL, IELTS,  etc.
With the sophistication of Language Lab, the language learning which is done independently can develop the all language skills with various function and media and the language sources owned by this laboratory. In the middle term, this laboratory is expected to be able to be used as the facility for selection test for new students which the result can be monitored at tonce by the concerned. Meanwhile, for the long term, this laboratory is expected to be able to be developed as self-access learning center which is adequate and conducive for the language development at UMM.
