Agriculture-Fisheries Laboratory
In order to realize the relation and equality of education to jobs, Faculty of Agricukture and Fisheries has laboratories and development center (experimental farm of 3 ha) as follow:
a. Nutrition Laboratory,
b. Cattle Production and Fisheries Production Technology,
c. Reproduction and Livestock Breeding Laboratory,
d. Wet and Dry Fisheries Laboratory.
Besides, Laboratory of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries is also equipped with Field Laboratory in the form of Experimental Farm and Fodder Factory.
A. Nutrition Laboratory
It is a laboratory for chemical composition analysis of compound in fodder for cattle and fish as well as food.
B. Cattle Production and Fisheries Technology
It is used to process cattle production, fisheries production, and product quality test. In this laboratory, there is chicken slaughterhouse completes with its processing.
C. Wet Fisheries Laboratory
It is used for studying management/process of spawning, fish nursery, and raising fish.
D. Dry Laboratory
It is used for studying desease examination process, genogenesis, anatomical observation and fich physiology, feed analysis, natural culture site for gonadal cell observation.
E. Experimental Farm
Its role is to support practicum activities and field trial research on cattle.
Experimental farm consists of:
1). 2 units of ren stall (with yard) for broiller
2). 2 units of laying hens stall
3). 1 unit of deer stall,
4). 1 unit of manila duck stall,
5). 1 unit of goat and sheep stall,
6). 1 unit of dairy cow and beef cattle stall,
7). 3 units of biogas reactor,
8). 5000 m² area of forage/Hijauan Makanan Ternak (HMT)
9). 1 unit of SILO (site for making silage)
10). 1 unit of feed factory consisted of mixer and grinder machines for feed production laboratory. This unit is used for several practicums such as fodder material, ration formulation, processing nutrition science to marketing. Besides, it is used to have biological test on fodder.
