Civil Engineering Laboratory
The laboratory is used for the center of practical and experimental learnings for students as well as research and engineering consultation services including building, bridge, road, irigation, inundation, and survey and mapping. [Contact Person ; Ir. Alik Ansyori Alamsyah, MT]
a. Concrete Technology Laboratory
The laboraory is used for among others examinating and recognizing the materials of concrete, designing fresh concrete mix as well as testing the concrete in the laboratory based on the Decree of SNI 1991. The laboratory is used not only for practicum, but also for student's and lecturer's researches, and engineering consultation service in the field of material and concrete technology.
The equipments for practicum have met the standard of concrete technology such as: Laboratory of Concrete Mixer, Concrete Testing Machine, Slump Test, Electric Vibrator Laboratory, Moduluis Of Elasticity in Concrete Test, Capping Compound Warmer, Concrete Flow Table Hand, Sieve Brass Analysis, Sieve Shaker Electric, Density Baskett, Heavy Duty Solution Balance, Mortar Mixer, Vicat Apparatus Test, Oven, etc. The equipments are for a). Concrete material examination, b). Concrete Mix Design, c). Concrete Testing and Examination; Determining the concrete strength in 28 days.
b. Soil Mechanics Laboratory
The laboratory is used to study soil to know its physical characteristics and types both undisturbed and disturbed as well as to have soil field test and examination. The laboratory is used not only for practicum, but also for facilitating student's and lecturer's researches and engineering consultation service in the field of soil mechanics.
To support the practicum, the equipments have met the standard of Soil Mechanics practicum equipment such as: Hand Drill, Standard Penetration Test, Sample extruder, Dutch Cone Penetrometer/Sondir, Sand Cone Test, Rubber Ballon Test, Sieve Shaker, Hydrometer Analysis Test, Compaction test, Atterberg Limit Test, Laboratory CBR Test, Unconfined, Compression Machine, Consolidation Test, Permeability Test, Direct Shear Test, etc. Those equipments can be used for a). Sampling Using Drill, b). Soil Examination Using Sondir Tool, c). Soil Examination Using Sand Cone, d). Soil Moisture Content Examination, e). Soil Density Examination, f). Soil Particle Analysis (analysis on filter and hydrometer test), g). Soil Consistency Examination (Atterberg limits), h). Soil Solidity Test (standard and modified), i). Soil Free Press Test, j). Field CBR Test (California Bearing Ratio), k). Soil Shear Test, l). Soil Consolidation Test, m). Soil Permeability Test.
c. Geometry Laboratory
The activities in the laboratory include practicum on geometry as the supporting facility for students to be able to perform angle measurement and height difference of a location as well as to make situation map from an area precisely and accurately. The equipments are Waterpass, Thedolite (manual and digital), Measuring Vessel, Yallon. The laboratory is used for facilitating students and lecturers in conducting researches as well as engineering consultation service in the field of survey.
d. Highway Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with facilities such as: Los Angeles Abrassion Machine, Sieve, Oven Sand Equiovalent Test Set, Penetrasion Test Set, Ductility Test Set, Flash and Fire Point Test Set, Softening Point Screw Test Set, Automatic Bitumenous Compactor, Solubility of Bitumenous Material, Viscosity Test Set, Benkelmen Beam Apparatus, Thermometer, Neraca, Container, Softening Point Test, Absorsion of fir Aggregate, Dunagan Test set, and Glooch Crucible. The laboratory si used for facilitating students and lecturers in conducting researches and engineering consultation service in he field og highway.
e. Hidraulics Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with facilities such as: Open and Closed Channels, Staff Ponit Gauge, Basic Hidraulic Bench, Dead Weight Calibrator, Hydrostatic Pressure, Flow Over Weirs, Bernaulli Therm Demostration, Osborne Reynold Demostrasion, Flowmeter Demontrasion, Velocity Meter, and Analoque Indicator. The laboratory is used for facilitating students and lecturers in conducting researches and engineering consulation service in the field of water.
