Mechanical Engineering Laboratory

The laboratory is used for practical and experimental learnings for students as well as research and engineering consultation service including manufacture design, metal test, alternative energy development and environmental pollution, design and manufacture of mechanical equipments, design and manufacture of automatic control. a.        Laboratory of Automatic Machinery and Design

The laboratory is used for providing students practical facilities of the CNC programming subject, precision machining (EDM), and design engineering. The laboratory is used not only for learning, but also for research and usage consultation sevice, maintenance, and mechanical component manufacture using CNC and EDM machines.

The equipments consist of CNC Emco TU 2A, ET100, VMC 120, CTS 100, TU3A, EDM, computer with various software.

b.        Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Automotive

The laboratory is used for providing students practical service of the the subjects energy conversion machine, fuel motor, and maintenance. The laboratory is used for not only learning, but also research and consultation sevices of energy characteristics and automative.

The equipments consist of Centrifugal Pump Test Rig, petrol engine test bed, refrigeration test bed, water turbine test bed, petrol engine stand (5 pieces), diesel engine stand (2 pieces), gas analyzer & smoke tester, engine analyzer, mechanical professional tool kits, automobile module, automobile multimeter, etc.

c.        Laboratory of Basic Mechanical Engineering

The laboratory is used for proving the phenomena in the field of basic mechanical engineering on the mechanics, statics, and heat as well as basic automatic control system such as basic pneumatics and hidraulics.

The equipments consist of static and dynamics of strength of materials, fluid mechanics and hydraulics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, basic pneumatics and hidraulics dari festo. Selain In addition to the main equipments, the laboratory also has supporting equipments for research such as thermocouple, anemometer, sound level meter, vibrometer, light meter, etc.

d.        Laboratory of Metal Testing

The laboratory serves student's practice on material testing subject. The laboratory is used for not only learning, but also research and consultation service in the field of engineering material characteristics.

The equipments consist of main equipments such as Universal Testing Machine, Brinell Hardness Tester, Vickers Hardness Tester, Rockwell Hardness Tester, and suporting equipments such as grinding, jominy test, tought point sensor, etc.

e.        Laboratory of Manufacture and Metrology

The laboratory serves student's practice on Production Process subject, mechanical design, material and process selection, and industrial metrology. The laboratory is used for not only learning, but also research and consultation service as well as mechanical equipment production.

The main equipments consist of various kinds and types of machines and supporting tools such as measuring equipment; painting tools; cutting, hitting, bending, pressing, and welding tools.

The metrology equipments consist of Granite Plate, Neo Derm, 3-Wire Unit gage Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Bore-Gage, Surface Test, Hole Test, Gauge Block, Ultrasonic Thickness Gage, Universal Height Master, etc.
