Laboratory purposes:
1. Assisting the department in implementing the laboratory work in the field of syariah science practically.
2. Helping students to be skilled in practical syariah law.
3. Coming out the relevant research finding on syariah law
4. Documenting data about the development of Islamic law in Indonesia
There are three areas of laboratory work, they are:
A. Division of Assessment and Research
1. Conducting scientific studies on Syariah field and Islamic law.
2. Doing research in the field of Islamic law, particularly in the areas of ahwal asyakhshiyyah.
B. Division of Religious Services and Literature Documentation
1. Opening religious consulting services
2. Providing services to the public on practical issues of Syariah law.
3. Documentation and library
C. Division of Training and Practicum
1. Formulating and conducting training based on the need by bringing in experienced practitioners.
2. Making the concept of practical implementation.
3. Conducting the laboratory work to students who are eligible.
Operationally, this laboratory carried out by the secretary of department under the head of department control and also assisted by the relevant course lecturer. The laboratory also collaborates with some institutions such as Religious Justice, RSI Aisyiyah and other institutions. In the implementation of laboratory training, it also bring up the practitioners and experts in their fields.
