ACADEMIC FRAUD

Subsection 50

Academic fraud is an act committed by a student as the following ways:

(1) Cheating is an acts done by student consciously or not using information tool or other materials without the consent of the supervisor and lecturer.

(2) falsification is an acts committed by a student consciously (intentional) or unconscious, without given any permissions about changing the score of academic transcripts, certificates, student identity card, lectures’ task / tutorials / practicum, certificate, statements letter, or signatures within the scope of academic activities.

(3) Plagiarism is the act committed by a student consciously using the phrase, data or someone else's work as the work itself (without mentioning the original source) in an academic activity.

(4) Tracing is the act of copying, imitating, cheating, stealing another person essay that is recognized as the work itself.

(5) Bribery is a gift giving by threatening; this act is committed by a student to influence or attempt to influence others with the intention of affecting the assessment of academic achievement.

(6) Replace the position of others in academic activities, it is the acts committed by the students by replacing the position or performs a task or activity to the interests of others based on their own self will.

(7) Asking the other man replacing the position in academic setting, it is the action committed by student by asking academicians as well as from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang or to someone else outside of the university to replace the position or perform a task or activity for its own good or the interests of others.

(8) Having cooperation in the exam, either orally, by gesture, or through electronic means.

Subsection 51

Academic Fraud Penalties

 

(1) Students who break the rule on subsection 49, they will get the penalty as follows; a) a stern warning in verbal and writing from;

b) The invalidation of exam scores for the course or academic activity concerned;

c) Student does not pass the course or academic activity concerned;

d) Student does not pass all subjects in the progress semester;

e) Student does not allow following the academic activities at a certain time;

f) Student will get dismissal or expelled from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

(2) UMM graduate title will be revoked if his scientific writing claimed as plagiarism work.

(3) Regulations on Academic Fraud Penalties is governed by a Rector.
